WIP: The Last Hope (Vue 3D Render)
Here's a quick look at the final render out of Vue which took about 22 minutes which wasn't bad especially that it's within Vue itself. The great thing about it is that even if you're working in Photoshop, Nuke or any other program, Vue efficiently distributes the computer's memory to allow multi-tasking which helps a lot when working multiple aspects on a single visual effects project at once. WIP: The Last Hope (Pre Viz Art)
After building this 3D scene in Vue xStream and using geometry references from Maya, I put it to render after doing a bunch of tests for render settings. I'm hoping this shouldn't take too long and I'll get a descent render in an affordable amount of time. Here's a quick preview of a new project I started and a quick look at the preview window before hitting 'render'. This is just a project I recently started because of Spring in the air. A few weeks back I had this idea of a crater that had been around for millions of years and wanted to scribble a quick concept art around a John Carter feeling sort of environment. I Googled some images and had really nice digital art along with some matte painting references. Check this piece out as it's my first piece where I used a tracked camera data from another shot to make this shot work.
